Would You Rather ~ Book Edition!

So... I was watching some BookTube videos and I saw Would You Rather around a lot. So I decided to do it myself! Basically there are ten questions of Would You Rather and I'm excited! Also, I don't know who started this. Sorry! :/

1. Read only trilogies or stand alones?
A. This is quite a hard question since I love contemporary and it's generally in stand alones. But, I'm going to have to go with trilogies because you find all sorts of genres in trilogies but not standalones.

2. Read only female or male authors?
A. Hands down female authors. I love romance and for some reason I have this thing in my head that male authors can't get that romance the way the female authors do. But maybe it's just because I'm a girl and I like reading books in the girl's point of view.

3. Shop at Barnes and Nobles or Amazon?
A. Amazon.

4. All books become movies or tv shows?
A. TV shows. Duh.

5. Read five pages per day or five books per week?
A. Five books per week. Again, duh.

6. Be a professional reviewer or author?
A. Professional reviewer just because I love reviewing books and I think I'd suck at being an author.

7. Only read your top 20 fav books over and over again or read new books only all the time?
A. I'm one of those people that takes food once and doesn't go for seconds. So, I don't really remember reading anything over again except Divergent. So I'm gonna have to go with the latter.

8. Be a librarian or book seller?
A. Definitely librarian. That way I can read whatever I want but don't have to worry about buying it with my own money.

9. Only read your favorite genre or read all genres except your favorite?
A. Hard. My fav genre is romance. Romance you can find in contemporary or dystopian or fantasy. Basically romance can be mixed with anything. So, I'm gonna have to go with read my fav genre only.

10. Only read physical books or ebooks?
A. Down right physical books!

So there it is!

Losing It by Cora Carmack

First off, a hot British boy! A hot British boy with an equally hot British accent! This much should be reason enough to read the book.
Genre: NA Contemporary Romance
Pages: 204
Type: #1 in Losing It
Rating: 5 out of 5 Garrick-worthy stars!
Synopsis: Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, Bliss Edwards decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible - a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.

I finished this book under a day. It's a very quick read. It's also quite a page turner. I loved everything about the story. Especially, the ending. And of course, Garrick. I loved how the whole book was written to make it very relatable. All those insecurities and everything.
I really enjoyed the writing style. The plot was also something that's not seen very often in contemporary books. Or so I feel. Atleast the type of forbidden love I saw in the book.
All the characters were fun and easy going and frankly quite likeable. Except Dom. The story development was great too. It was an utterly toe-curling story. What with all those totally hot lines (where do authors get these lines from!) and what not!

Looking for Alaska by John Green

I really don't even feel like writing a review on this book. But I'll do it anyways. Cuz that's just what I do.
Genre: YA Contemporary
Pages: 262
Type: Standalone
Rating: 3 stars
Synopsis: Before. Miles "Pudge" Halter's whole existence has been one big nonevent, and his obsession with famous last words has only made him crave the "Great Perhaps" (François Rabelais, poet) even more. He heads off to the sometimes crazy, possibly unstable, and anything-but-boring world of Culver Creek Boarding School, and his life becomes the opposite of safe. Because down the hall is Alaska Young. The gorgeous, clever, funny, sexy, self-destructive, screwed-up, and utterly fascinating Alaska Young, who is an event unto herself. She pulls Pudge into her world, launches him into the Great Perhaps, and steals his heart.

After. Nothing is ever the same.

The book was divided into two parts: Before and After. I won't tell you what that means, because it will spoil. I didn't guess what happened but it was quite shocking. If you've read The Fault in Our Stars, you might guess. Or... Maybe not.
This book wasn't as satisfactory as I expected it to be. I was very unhappy about this. I don't have much to say about it, although I will leave a link to a video you have to check out. For sure. And listen to it carefully. Even if your blood might boil when you look at the title.
Have a good day!

Updates...

Hiiiiiii! I'm back guys! I'm back from my vacation and ready to read! I'm ready to get out of my reading slump and blogging slump and get my life back on track!
Tomorrow I'll be going to the library and getting books! I'm currently reading Looking for Alaska by John Green. Next, I'll read Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. All that will come in August. I'll start afresh for September.
On 1st September, I will start school! I'm very excited to get back to school and all that jazz that comes with it. This term I wanna get good marks. But of course I also want to continue blogging. I do think it will be a bit lesser than before since those were my holidays and now my school will start again... So, I'm a bit doubtful. Nevertheless, I will try my best.
Let me know how your vacation went and what are you reading... :D
