Burned by Cara Lily.

So recently I won a giveaway of an eARC of Burned to review from Cara Lily. I won this at LibraryThings. Anyways, so I read the novella in half an hour and decided to review it. I've even reviewed it on Smashwords, but both of these are the same.

Genre: Adult Erotica
Pages: 49 (according to Goodreads)
Type: Novella
Rating: 1.5/5 stars

An erotic short story of the passionate love between Alexandria, a quiet reserved school teacher and Heath, a struggling writer with mesmerizing blue eyes and a rock star meets boy next door persona.

It all started so innocently, a coffee date, a dinner, a sweet seduction and what followed was to be Alex's sexual awakening. Heath was insatiable, unleashing his inner animal, a pure sexual force that left Alex gasping and wanting more.

Soon that was all to change for Heath was not the man she thought he was. He had a hidden agenda that would soon leave Alex exposed, venerable and broken.

I was hoping it could be better. But anyways. The book's storyline wasn't out of the ordinary. It was actually, pretty boring, considering the genre I'd erotica. There were many errors throughout the book. Like, many times, someone's arrived or someone's saying something or doing something, but you don't know who. "Hi there." He said. He moved around the room trying to find something. (This is my own example.) Who is the HE? You don't know.
It was too fast-paced. It just skipped from one scene to another. There was no character building or anything, which made me not really care about the characters. And of course, it doesn't help that the novella is barely a 100 pages.
Other than that, I really liked Tom Hunt. He was a good guy. The erotic scene was pretty well-written, I mean, it certainly had room for improvement.
Other than that, I really don't know what else to say. Personally, I was not a big fan of the book, but you'll probably like it. You never know.
